The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Having worked for many years at a large retail Automotive operation, I understand and appreciate customer feedback. The more responses I get, the better my analysis of how we are doing will be. The PDGA is affording us the same type of opportunity to sound off on how they are doing and which way they should go. Please take this opportunity to fill out the survey. It has some length to it, and is very specific in a wide amount of areas, well worth the time to respond.

Took it several days ago.
With the membership number hitting 50000, the PDGA should be flooded with people taking the survey....I hope.
Done and done
I started taking it until I came to the questions about which fast food restaurant I eat at most. Seems like this is just a marketing survey. Now if they want to know what I think about their new wedgie rule...

There is an open section at the end....keep going

I took the time to complete the survey, hopefully it will help draw sponsorship.

I took the survey a week ago. I was kind of disturbed by the possible responses to the question about sponsorship. The last two choices were 'Men's club' and 'Men's themed restaurants' . Although I would appreciate sponsorship in any form (except tobacco products), I believe these choices would only serve to further alienate women from our sport. I just got back from the Worlds, and although there were plenty of women playing, the movie and dinner both seemed like sausage fests. Overwhelmingly white sausage fests.

We're not going anywhere with this sport without more mass appeal than we have now. IMHO we need many more women and people of ALL colors playing this greatest of all sports.

Now, would someone please help me down from this soapbox, I'm kinda old. And white. And male.

Kids, we need tons of kids to play this sport. They feed the numbers for the future, and their presence has a way of tempering the decisions that adults make.
And that's why I take my wife's ghetto third graders out to Morley for a round every year. Even if they never come back, they know what we do.
We need lower fees to play and join.....
Did the survey the day it came out. Done and DONE.

Heck there are Clubs out there that requires the $50 (PDGA annual fee) as a monthly fee.

As for paying less to play, we are lucky.

Majority of our fields are free.

What money is collected goes to prizes, charities etc.
