The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf
Having worked for many years at a large retail Automotive operation, I understand and appreciate customer feedback. The more responses I get, the better my analysis of how we are doing will be. The PDGA is affording us the same type of opportunity to sound off on how they are doing and which way they should go. Please take this opportunity to fill out the survey. It has some length to it, and is very specific in a wide amount of areas, well worth the time to respond.

Permalink Reply by xians421 on August 25, 2011 at 7:21pm I took the survey a week ago. I was kind of disturbed by the possible responses to the question about sponsorship. The last two choices were 'Men's club' and 'Men's themed restaurants' . Although I would appreciate sponsorship in any form (except tobacco products), I believe these choices would only serve to further alienate women from our sport. I just got back from the Worlds, and although there were plenty of women playing, the movie and dinner both seemed like sausage fests. Overwhelmingly white sausage fests.
We're not going anywhere with this sport without more mass appeal than we have now. IMHO we need many more women and people of ALL colors playing this greatest of all sports.
Now, would someone please help me down from this soapbox, I'm kinda old. And white. And male.

Permalink Reply by xians421 on August 25, 2011 at 7:55pm Heck there are Clubs out there that requires the $50 (PDGA annual fee) as a monthly fee.
As for paying less to play, we are lucky.
Majority of our fields are free.
What money is collected goes to prizes, charities etc.
