its not a groove its some discraft prototype that never came out actuall was shown before the groove
Well good thing for Discraft that innova relased theirs while discraft canned the project. The groove is such a squirrely, inconsistent disc. I AM liking the Katana however...in star plastic at least.
That's why I threw that clause at the end about only liking it in star plastic (but I haven't thrown a champ yet). I have only thrown one star and one pro katana so it may be inconsistent from run to run, I don't know.

The inconsistency in the groove I was referring to was in each SPECIFIC disc. I never knew what it would do. Sometimes it would flip over and not come back, other times it was somewhat overstable. You could chalk it up to nose angle sensitivity perhaps. I actually thought it was just way too speed sensitive...as in up to a point in throwing speed it acted fairly stable to overstable, then when you reached a particular disc speed it switched and became a near roller. I don't have this issue with my sidewinder. It seems to have a smooth progression along a continuum of different speeds. I know if I throw it a little harder it will flip a bit more and it's pretty predictable.
So.... is this the "Next Big Idea?" from the D ?... We'll call it the...... Grr......flow?.
???
Oh now that just takes the cake. John, don't tell me Discraft is gonna start stealing Innova patends. Where's Whamo?
They'll straighten this out.
it's actually the other way around....and has been.
can someone elaborate?

Mr. Lotto. . .care to add anything???
I haven't seen Lotto around on the forum since he hit it big with his comment on the discraft webpage. :-)
??????do tell..........
I guess it wasn't the website, but rather the last discraft newsletter they sent out. They had some player testimonials about the Nuke. Josh Lotto was quoted as saying something about the Nuke being "money." I can't remember what else. But I smiled when I read it. Perhaps one step closer to sponsorship for Cap'n Discraft? ;-)
