Thanks to David Ledford for originally posting this, to most of you it's common knowledge, but as a beginner this has helped me TREMENDOUSLY. Every beginner should read this comprehensively. Study it. One month ago I was driving a 200' ft avg. One day of field practice with this information and I am passing that with my Roc and Buzzz, hitting 275' with my Nuke SS and hitting 250' consistently. I'm going to keep up open field practice and work on my footwork (currently using the 1-step) until I can't feel my arm. I have a DGA Mach II in my backyard for putt practice (have had some epic games of horse there) and am going to keep grinding. Even when winter comes, I'll be playing. Scandinavians don't get cold.

I'm going to sound like a jerk here but at 250' you shouldn't be throwing anything faster than about a speed 7 disc. These include Teebirds, Rivers, XLs, Leopards and the like.
