So i have a problem every year my Throwing hand gets a huge calis on the end of my middle finger and that calis kracks apart when i drive. which is really painfull when you want to drive. I have tried Lotion, pumas stone, man i don't know what to do... I hate having alot of snap in cold weather.

Don't solve the problem, prevent it.

I went through the callus cycle for a couple of years ( callus forms then grows till it tears off leaving a bloody gash, slowly heals then starts a new callus, and the cycle begins all over again) until Dr. Rick Voakes taught me the solution.

Tape your finger at the place where the callus forms. Use paper tape (buy it in a drug store) every time you throw. The tape prevents the callus from forming. Problem fixed.

You can also sand down the callus as it forms but this is an inexact science (at least for me). You need to sand it down just enough but not too much. Your skin can still dry out and crack.

Paper tape is amazing. I wrap my finger 3 or 4 times when I apply it. It feels natural from the first throw.
Mark is right on target here!
hey now,Mark usually has the right answer/solution.I tape my throwing thumb, index and middle fingers. Also use some Burt's Bees creme, apply after you've washed/showered.Peace

thats what I use. In winter my fingers get cracks in the cuticle area. no band-aid will hold for long. You fill the crack with this stuff & it lasts pertty long.
I hung drywall for 16 years so my hands were always dried out and would crack(especially my thumbs) I use bag balm or badger balm apply a good coat and let it soak in .i suggest covering your hands with cheap cotton gloves or even old socks or you'll end up with the stuff smeared on everything
It sounds crazy buy my cousin uses super glue instead of the liquid band aid for bowling. I am sure it hurts but I bet it protects longer.
super glue works awesome for this and it does not hurt. lasts for 1 to 3 days
Thanks for the info ... guys i'll try a few of those sug.
