The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

August is here, and in Ohio it's the dog days of summer. My question is-When do you prefer to throw discs? Is it in the morning to beat the heat, is it in the evenings or does the heat not affect your choice to throw? Personally I love being out on the course early in the morning maybe getting a chance to see some wild life. But I also like throwing a round after diner before the sunset. The heat doesn't bother me, but if I had my choice that's when I like to throw the most.

I don't Prefer it, but I play EARLY mornings whenever possible ( I am NOT a morning Person ) cause my local courses fill UP with people by 10:00am. A round can take FOREVER after 10. And, mornings are the only time I don't have my kids during the school year, so I can actually concentrate! Lol. :)

Morning is an obvious choice except for all the morning dew. Just going to wait for the heat to break

I like to play glow when it is too hot durring the day. Nobody on the course around 11 pm.

In the morning is too wet.

Afternoon is too hot.

I prefer the late afternoon to evening time frame.

But my favorite time to play is Night golf.

I prefer to play any time of day. If it is hot out I will bring more water. On the other hand if you can get out for an early morning round there is generally nobody at the course so that is nice.
Prefer mornings in Vegas. Too hot in the day. Also, some parks get busy after 10:00 AM.

On the weekdays I work nights so I have to be out early if I want to beat the heat. On the weekends it's usually a morning round and then an afternoon round. I don't have the same problems as Jeff. I can pretty much play either course any time and there will be a 75% chance I'll be the only one on the course.

Late afternoons.   The humidity has mostly boiled off, and the shadows stretch shade over most of the course.
