Thanks Steve Jobs for steering innovation in our world.

You pushed the envelope, and was not afraid to.

It is an inspiration for everyone to aspire.

Call him a marketing genius, you still have to say thanks.

Having went to art school, most artists leaned towards Apple.

It all started in the '80s. (graduated in 1984).

Like the ease of use of my macbook pro.

The ipod touch, don't use very much.

I am most thankful for his effort to create an app ecosystem where third-party developers like me can distribute apps around the world. As a user, I'm thankful that its simple enough that practically anyone can discover, download and use apps.

I have never owned anything but a Mac since '85 and after all the condescending comments, how Apple was going bankrupt every year since and the rolled eyes over the years from PC users for owning a Mac. It has been very gratifying telling all of them to suck it now that Apple is the richest company in the US.

 

I wanted a computer that was ready out of the box. That was actually plug & play with any device I bought. That I didn't have to spend another $1000 to add all the extras that came standard on my Mac.

 

Plus being a Photographer and Photoshop all but Mac exclusive I just thank my lucky stars they didn't go PC back then.

Ran an office with macs and pcs.

We produced high end, very large graphics (ate up a lot of memory).

The macs worked everyday without problems.

The pcs crashed all the time.

PC stands for piece of crap.

Windows 7 is an apple about 7 years ago.

Sorry pc users you get what you pay for.

While I like the iPhone enough to keep it, I wouldn't go out to call him a genius. Innovation started way before Steve Jobs. They were using tablets in Star Trek.

you do realize the prior art you're referencing is a joke in the whole patent lawsuit, right?

 

no one is claiming that steve jobs created innovation; he is an innovator, and there is no denying that. he created 3 gigantic markets that didn't exist before he had the balls to close him and his team off, build something great, and release it to unidentified consumers: one being the macintosh, another the iPod, and finally the beast of iOS in iPhone and iPad.

Microsoft steals, gives it to everyone, and gets viruses in return.
