I'll have to second Jamie on this one!
I agree that 2-3 months is way too long to cash a check, but there is no reason for money to be "missing" from your checking account if you register your checks when you write them and then balance your account when you get your statement. Sorry, dude, but the "missing" money in your account is your fault, not your school's or the PDGA's.
To say it's a piss poor business practice...would be an understatement. The person(s) who handle this aspect of the daily business of the PDGA is a paid employee...my question is what the hell are we paying them for??? To hold checks for an entire Quarter???? This is totally unacceptable. If the cable co, phone co or any public utility did this...eventually they would probably have to answer to a class action lawsuit.
Are you sure they didn't lose the check or did someone there say they hadn't gotten around to cashing it?
My check was received, Chuck...I got all my renewal stuff months ago.... Another local player sent them his membership renewal check, it was apparently lost...they (PDGA) said they never received it...now in order for him to have some peace of mind about his check/money, he's needs to issue a stop payment....so either way he's screwed out of at least 30 bucks. I honestly doubt the USPS lost it...if it took the PDGA damn near an entire quarter to cash my check....just exactly how organized is that office???
Why would you think the PDGA would be lying that they didn't receive it?
Did I say anything about lying, Chuck??? My question is about job performance...or what is apparently....a lack of !!!
What was the response from Addie when you called or emailed?

Addie is the Membership Manager and has always been extremely helpful every time I have called/emailed. It is very possible they lost or misplaced your check, but unless you contact them, how will you know? Posting here is a great way to vent, but is not likely to produce any results.

706-261-6342 or email aisbellATpdgaDOTcom.
You could always apply/renew online. No lost checks, no wasted money, no wasted time and problem solved.
Of course, I emailed...still waiting for a response...however, I wasn't going to use anybodies actual name on here....ultimately the responsibility falls on the person in charge. If there is a flaw in the day to day organizational operations of the PDGA. Than that should be addressed from the top...either by job re-training or by whatever means necessary.

Oh yeah, of course, I will keep my membership current for voting privileges...at least through the next elections.

thanks for clearing up the purpose of my thread ; )~
sorry to hear Jamie. Sounds messed up. I know I had some issues once a few years ago and Addie was helpful to the extreme. I consider her a good freind now for how far she went to satisfy me, a customer. I dont use checks for anything becuase now-a-days, there are just to many mistakes that can happen with them.
Not exactly
