The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Wednesday, October 7, begins several days of live disc golf Web-TV coverage of the PDGA's United States Disc Golf Championships (USDGC).

You can sign up and pay a donation to watch (recommended) or you can just sign up for free. We signed up and we're really looking forward to coverage beginning today (Wednesday, at about 11:15 am Eastern time.

As we wait to watch the coverage, there is a camera aimed at the tee for one of the holes and it is fun watching players warm up and greet each other. Don't miss out on this very significant disc golf event!

I agree.. Billy Crump helped in a way but towards the end of the broadcast everyone was finding their flow. A lack of control in parts but I'm sure today will be a lot better. Those camera shots where they were tracking the disc of the lake were awesome. I'd love to see more of that too.

"That's gonna make supper taste REAL good" -- haha
You got to hand it to these guys.....they are doing a good job for what it's worth.....Any coverage is better then no coverage...I'm looking forward to watching some footage here in a few minutes.

Keep in mind...they are no doubt working on a limited budget with very limited resources/equipment...and somewhat limited experience.

It would be nice to see some numbers on the production...how many on the crew...how many cameras are they using...type of equipment, etc.I have only seen one on the course from our (viewing audience) point of view...and the one they were using for static shots of the interviewing/commentary set.

on the subject of camera angles....what would be cool is a camera boom.....panning above a Tee as a player drives.
There's a reason why sportscasters sit at a table, desk with graphics in front of them.

Did anyone see the live feed of the Vibram Open?
Had more than one camera.
Pictures tell a thousand words.

See what happens next year.
This year is a learning process.
There seems to be a couple of different cameras out there. The footage I watched yesterday was of 18 from 1 camera.
I hope everybody is having fun enjoying this presentation. I believe they are doing things a little better as the day goes on, and with Billy announcing and knowing exactly what is going on and who is who, I think is doing one heck of a job. What cha all think? back to watching. 1:40 pm tee times. Here are those yet to t off:
