The latest edition of Disc Golf Live video magazine is in the hands of
our broadcast partners and uploaded to our file sharing system for
broadcast at community and public access stations across the US. DGL
offers great action for those of us who already know and love our
favorite sport, but more importantly, DGL reaches thousands of potential
new players from coast to coast as we work to grow participation and
awareness of disc golf. If you've got community TV in your town, we're
happy to set you up with FREE DVDs to submit locally, and that can most
easily happen when a local resident like you gets involved and joins the
station. Don't wait for DGL to do it, because we usually can't due to
residency requirements.
Our featured event for episode 36 is the 2009 United States Disc Golf
Championship, from Rock Hill, SC. We’ve got three tales from the
demanding Winthrop Gold course, starting with a look at how players are
tackling the ever-evolving fourth hole. We follow that up with an early
round summary of the battle for the title, and finish up with a look at
the final round, including coverage of the top few cards on some
pivotal holes. And for those of us who miss the fairway now and then,
we check in with Mike Randolph as he offers up a few techniques for
helping folks get out of trouble. Thanks to Paper and Plastic Sports,
Innova, Discraft, and the PDGA for supporting production of Disc Golf
Live video magazine.
Two other points of interest. If you'd like to see your local scene
represented on DGL, we welcome all sorts of stories to mix in with the
ones we produce ourselves. Work with folks on your end to showcase some
aspect of Disc Golf in your neck of the woods. Or the desert, or the
plains. We'll help you spread the word. Finally, if you don't have a
local access station but want to support our adventure, consider a
subscription for our Home version, which is formatted for more
convenient viewing. Details at
www.discgolflive.com. Mention this site and we'll
give you our PDGA rate of $36 for six one-hour episodes. We also offer
tasty wholesale pricing for retail and players packages. Contact us
about your ideas.
Take care,
