The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Last night, Sheila, Ben, and I played a league 18 at Rolling Hills. Two very disturbing things:

(a) Some one, or some group of vandals, has been ripping down limbs and small trees (3" caliper) on many holes. Very destructive. Some of it doesn't even affect trees in play. Please keep an eye out for this behavior and take a break from your round and let the park staff know, so they can apprehend these guys and shut them down.

(b) Somewhere in the 4-5 cards ahead of us last night was a bunch of losers drinking beer from cans - they had an entire 24-pack. Empty cans were all over the course. (We collected 16 of them and will use the deposit money for course design materials.) And then, on Hole 16, they threw their cardboard pack away in the fairways.

C'mon guys, it you're not having fun on the course, go litter somewhere else. If you are, then why spoil it for others by stupid littering? If you can carry it out onto the course full, then you can carry it back out - and it doesn't weigh as much empty.

Ah Yes... The fiant waft of Pay to Play.. Coming soon to a disc golf course near you..
hate to say it.....but "rolling hills" has been infested with the worst known species to disc golf courses.....the inconsiderate, foul-mouthed, littering causal!!! Even had an encounter with a nasty specimen or two that tried to tell me and G lane that we should have left our kids at home after they proceeded to throw into us before we had completed the hole. Luckily for them we did have our kids with us or the outcome could have been ugly.....

hoping once the waterpark opens and the gate is always manned that the numbers of these vermin will thin out!!!@!
i hope so.. that disgusts me. I know last time i was there i got enough cans off the course to pay for a tank of gas for my car.
This is why I love playing private courses. Can't wait to install my own
Discretely taken photographs can do wonders when the authorities are contacted later. I've done that a couple of times at Hudson Mills and the vandals were shocked when they thought it came down to "He said, she said," and I had photos :)
Pay to play stops this? One tee sign, one basket got vandalized/broken since Hudson Mills went pay to play, more than the usual. I've still seen damage to trees and litter everywhere out there.
