I'm going to be in town this weekend to visit my brother. I will be in town from the 10 through to the 15th. I am planning on playing Bayville Park, and Munden Point. If anyone is interested, I am planning on checking this post throughout my stay.

I might drive down just to beat you on a different course ;)
take the time to hit new quarter park outside williamsburg- probably not too much more of a drive than mundens point from most of va beach- easily the best course in tidewater.
Okay, I will check that out! thanks!

Are there any other guys on this site that play in Virginia?
I fit in a suit case. lol
hey now,Newport News has a dgc as well. Not that far away to play. Played Bayville Park back in '77-79,probably has changed somewhat.Think Steady Ed had some input originally when it went into ground.Enjoy.Peace
I was looking at this park and am probably going to play this course for sure due to the trees. I really like tough tree lined courses. Munden Point looks pretty open and low on the obstacle side. I think i will have some good fun just playing some new courses in a all together different state! Thanks Mr. Ed

bayville has had a couple of holes added and upgraded some equipment as well as adding some longer tees but you can still play the original steady ed design there. second oldest basket course on the east coast.

i would rank the courses in tidewater as follows:
1. new quarter
2. ace run ranch
3. newport news
4. bayville
5. bennett's creek
6. mundens point
where is New Quarter? I will be staying in Virginia Beach and will not beable to drive far with a lack of my own personal vehicle.
williamsburg.
hey now, thanks for the update/info on those courses. The original Bayville I enjoyed just playing with our Wham-o frisbee's,throwing old school back in the day.Peace

hey now,If memory recalls the time to Williamsburg is 45 min to an hour away? Perhaps you should try to hook up with some locals if the time permits.None of theose courses existed, except Bayville, in "76-79 that I recall.Enjoy the time spent in Va Bch.Hit Chains,Peace
