The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

For a while now, I've been wondering about the extent to which discs will warp if left in the trunk of my car all summer. I have a big tub of discs I usually keep in my car but now that summer is fast approaching I'm getting worried that my stock of brand new backup discs may warp if left in there the whole summer. I know pros who travel around w/ backups and extras to sell, but I've never had a chance to ask them personally. Has anyone ever had their discs warp from leaving them in your trunk? If so, what were the circumstances? Any differences between the types of plastic or how they were stored?

I'd like to be sure and distinguish between the different types of plastics. Presumably, D plastic is typically more prone to warping, followed by pro, premium, and candy.

While I do think that this continuum is accurate, I have no experience w/ discs warping, so I'd love to hear what experiences you all have had. I'll happily do my best to condense the responses into a more cohesive narrative once our DISCussion has gained momentum.

Happy Hucking!

As long as the bins aren't over stuffed the discs don't generally warp, I carry two large bins with me quite often to sell trade and give away at leagues and casual rounds, they ussually stay in my truck all summer once leagues start up.
i may keep a couple of not special discs in my vehicle for unexpected play, but generally they[better discs] are down in my dark, not damp, cool basement.
