What a Freekin' Month

Ugh. I haven't posted in a while. Been crazy around our place. Sorry, but I just need to puke out a recap, for my own Sanity, if nothing else. My Wife's Step Mom passed away VERY Unexpectedly about 3 weeks ago. She was 55 years old. Not old enough to be going away. My Father in Law has been a TOTAL wreck since. A lot of facts have come to light since she passed. #1 being that she was Horribly sick for Years, and new it. But, she NEVER told him. She had Cancer everywhere in her body. Literally. She also had a heart problem, bad liver, and a collapsed lung. Hard to believe someone could live through that at ALL without treatment, but she she did for about 5 years. My Father in Law is Very upset with himself for not seeing things for how they were, even though she kept it all from him, somehow.

On her way to go be with her Dad the day after this all happened, my Wife was driving my Subaru Outback through eastern Washington to get to Idaho. She stopped at a rest stop outside of Ellensburg. As she pulled in, a Big truck with a cab over camper slammed into reverse and stomped it. Long story short, he parked his camper where the front of my car had previously been. THANK WHOMEVER, but my Wife was uninjured. Just Shaken up. So, while being in Idaho for almost 2 weeks, we had to figure out how to get a new car, which we finally got worked out. Back to a a car payment. Super.

Now, after a week of being home, getting the new car, and waiting for things to settle down...... UGH! Our POOR little 5 year old gets VERY SICK. Neck swells up, fever, can't hardly breathe, etc. 4 days in a row at the Doctor and we finally are told that he has Group G Strep Throat AND FREEKING MONO at the SAME TIME. He is SO MISERABLE. I hate seeing my kids sick, but this is killing me, let alone him. What Next?????

I hope May passes without catastrophe, or I may end up lighting something on fire...................
