What did you learn on the course today?

Had a saying when I used to snow ski "If you are not falling down, you are not learning"

The same applied today at the disc golf course.
It has been said that you learn more from failure than you do success.

We all have had great rounds of golf, that you wish you could repeat over and over consistently,
but this discussion is really about actual learning, from mistakes.

Threw a side arm (right handed) with a very stable first run Innova Boss, a normal shot for me on this hole that turns right over water then down a sweet fairway.
Screwed up the shot, mentally tried to keep the shot low, and it went low into the far edge of the bank of the water hazard about 200 feet away and bounced OB. wet.
Well I grabbed my under stable Blizzard Katana, re-teed backhanded and sailed the disc, gliding sweetly down the fairway, to give a decent shot at the pin farther down the way.

If it were not for the failure of the first shot, I would have never thrown the 2nd shot.
Sometimes failure creates something positive.

That I don't need 24 discs in my bag! But I just can't bring myself to take some out. I try for a while, but I end up with 24 again. I could see if I had multiples of the same disc, but they are all diff. I have 5 long distance, 5 reg drivers, 6 fairway, 5 mids and 3 "putters".

If pushed I could explane why I need them and for what......HELP!..........

I have tried many putting styles and have been frustrated for years with accuracy. My push putt is good up to 20ft, and very accurate. It is those longer putts I have been working on, but keep missing the mark.

Low and behold I remembered my accuracy was dead-nuts when I used to play with Wham-O frisbees tossing it back and forth to another person. I am now putting using the same technique on my long putts and hitting the chains. Freaking amazing!
