The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

I recently gave in and finally got a bag and few discs to work in. Curious as to what you all think, advise, or suggest. Btw I'm LHBH primarily but can do RHBH and RHFH

Pro Katana - soon to be Star or Champ, only used for open holes with distance
Champ Boss - for open holes with wind, when I see necessary

Champ Wraith - hyzers, anhyzers, what I call "trick shots", and for low throw distance
Star and Champ Teerex - forhand drives, forhand approach, threading trees, low shots

Champ Orc- Shorter holes/"trick shots", low throws
Champ Monster - forehand, doglegs, girlfriends disc (when she plays)

Star TL - fairway drives, short holes, straight shots
Champ Banshee - fairway, doglegs

KC Roc - Overstable midrange, not worrying about hitting a tree
DX Roc - stable midrange, parking under the basket

Star Mako - Stable approach, floppy putts (this thing is soft, floppy, gummy, and I've yet to make it roll or skip)
DX Aviar - Most putts

I've considered dropping the Katana, Boss, Orc, Monster, TL, Banshee, and Mako in various combinations (meaning I would only get rid of a few not all of them) because I feel like I use to many of them for the same stuff and feel that some of them are redundant.

Equipment: I have a fadelite bag (12 disc) and am going to get dividers for it. A disc marker, a sharpie, an old baseball (great for getting discs out of trees), and a $6 shammy I tore up to wipe discs off. Whatcha think?

Sounds like you know how each disc flys. As long as you like your plastic , you should be good to go !!!
Drop your Boss and Kanata, Get a Halo or Nuke or soon to be Gateway Ninja, and learn to throw them at different angles for different wind force.

Wraith = faster Orc no need for both the speed difference is like 1 or 2 not enough to matter much. 10 foot difference in max distance.

Drop the Monster and banshee, get yourself a Whippet-X Also Get your girl a disc more suited to her, the monster is superbly overstable, I would suggest a Gateway Apache, Innova Roadrunner, Discraft Avenger SS. Something in that range she will probably be happier with those when she plays.

The T-Rex is a great driver I loved me that disc until I started throwing Discraft Forces. (Keep the T-rex unless you like wide winged discs then try the force, it is like a faster rex.)

TL - another good disc with glide.

Rocs are good, Although I like the Champion style plastic hence I throw a Z wasp. (Cheaper then champ Rocs and flat topped)

Haven't throw a Mako so not going to comment on it, from what I hear it is comparable to a comet or meteor in discraft.

Aviar - For Putting throw what ever feels the most comfortable in your hands.
BH
Champ katana
Star Destroyer
Star Teebird and TL
Champ RR
Crystal Buzzz

FH
Star Excal
Champ Firebird
Star Teebird

Add a few soft wizards. thats my bag.
If your bag gets Too heavy , try one of these :

If your bag is full of beer, then I like it.
I would have to see a picture of your bag before I could tell you what I think of it
Wow, what a difference in forums.
Dgrus answer: throw what works for you
rest of the Internet answer: you have pretty much all overstable, fast drivers and only one fairway driver.

I'm a crappy player though so maybe you bomb those.
The problem is that I can't tell someone else what to throw. Discs that are good for me may be useless for others. Analyzing someone else's bag is pretty much a waste of time. Maybe you consistently shoot 10 down with a Roc and an Aviar. We are all different and each one of us has to find out what works for us, even if every other disc golfer threw exactly the same thing.

Just take note of which discs that you throw the most and keep those in your bag. Be open to buying new plaastic, but don't go out and buy every new disc that comes out. One of my pleasant surprises was the Sidewinder and I use that disc a lot. If you have a disc that you only throw once in a blue moon, then maybe that disc comes out of the bag.

Experiment.
So is this the" what do you think of the disc in my bag " or "what do you think of my bag" thread???? im confused.
Ever try a NutSack?
K.
get some discraft
Well about the discraft stuff I'd love to try some of it out however the only local dealer (a rack set up in a screen printing shop) only carries innova and honestly I don't really want to spend the money just to test discs out.

It is a what do you think about what is in my bag thread. I'll put pics up soon.

I'm thinking I'll drop the orc and monster (because they are redundant) for Valk, Sidewinder, Roadrunner or archangel. Probably valk and sidewinder though.

Funny donny, but I know I'll never have more than this. No reason to.
