Steady, well shot video. Commentary by knowledgeable people who know that they don't have to be talking EVERY minute of the coverage. Complete coverage of the entire round. None of this 'Nothing happened for five holes or so here so we're gonna pick it up later'.
Footage of one group on consecutive holes. I hate it when video is just a montage of individual shots. We've all watched people throw...it isn't interesting. What IS interesting, is seeing how top pros navigate difficult holes. Even more interesting than that is when we know how the scores stack up going into a series of holes (preferrably a whole round) by the lead card and following them shot by shot as they navigate the course. Throw in some EXPERT (John Dussler and Terry Miller do a great job in my opinion) commentary and you've got a great video. Disc golf monthly also does a pretty good job of what I'm looking for....minus the coverage of random am shots. If I want that I'll stand on the hill at my home course on a saturday. :-)
I like how the USDGC videos give you an oversight ofthe whole before it is played. Kind of lets you think what lane you may throw and then you get to watch and see how others would throw it. The vibram dvds are also cool as hell. I watch all the added features before I even get into the actual video.
for sure. search disc golf on youtube and you'll find loads of them. bad quality, shaky camera, terrible throwing
to me, this is the epitome of a good disc golf video. hd video, sweeet song, full hole coverage, solid and artistic camera work (including more than one camera angle), great editing, different approaches.
Yeah, I ordered some am DVD from gggt cause it was cheap. Five minutes was all I watched:(
I do not want to see drives with no clue of where it went or how they stand score wise. I like full round coverage.
This is a very nice DG video. The camera angles, the use of colors, the music, a very well put together video. The camera has to be a pretty high quality one and the smoothness of some of the shots looks like they used some sort of camera crane. Hopefully I will be able to get some of this type of equipment to use in my videos.
