I am running a club fundraiser in about three weeks. There will be four divisions, Open, Masters, Advanced and Rec. Haven't worked out entry forms yet. Are there any good premade forms or should I just make my own?
Just go over the things that are Important and put them on a quick spreadsheet. Easy to do. You can make your own in a couple of minutes on Word or Excel.
Of course , Have the Date and Time up front.
Divisions and Costs for each division. List what each player gets in entry package if anything.
Any available pizes or Raffle prizes.
If 2 rounds , when the break is and if Lunch is provided. List Best , closest places.
Best place(s) to park. List all Event Sponsors.
Everything else about Course , Any Mandos , OB's , etc. can be announced at players meeting.
Thanks Donny. I am already working on a flyer with all of the pertinent information but was thinking that if we take money early we should have an entry form. Just trying to cover all of the bases. It's going to be $25 for all divisions. Maybe I should just make up a simple entry form with name and division. I guess that would be all we would need. Really trying to generate a lot of interest for our fundraiser since it will be kicking off the league for us and our new points championship that we are running this year. Hoping to also raise around $400 or more for the club.
Also Jim , If you have some players backing you already , ask them what they would like. For example , Club Shirts , Club Disc's , Club mini's , Club Towels , etc. These can be purchased in bulk discounts. Try to get a survey first before any additional purchases are made. I have even heard of Bake sales , such as cupcakes , cookies and carwashes !!! Anything helps in raising funds. Right Now , for our Club ( www.sandiegoaces.com ) I sell Club memberships. Shirts , Disc's and Bag Tag minis. We ship anywhere in the United States and in some cases , Europe and Asia.
At the very least, add a phone number so you can contact the pre-registrants, if you have to. An email address could be good to build a database for future contacts.
Well my friend made up some basic entry forms. Name, division, email address. So I am now entered in the Masters division and ready to go. If there are any folks who are interested in playing please get a hold of us or come down to the Springs at around 8 AM on March 9. Don't forget to change your clocks though.
