The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

We are going to open a pro shop (in what was the pro shop for the ball golf course that The Ponds at Lakeshore was built on) soon. We plan to have a significant inventory of discs and lots of fun stuff to do plus some refreshments. We do not plan to sell on line, as we don't want to be in competition with our DGRUS supporters.

I'll be asking folks here for advice about a number of decisions we'll need to make. Here's the first question: What should we call it?

Please share your name suggestions here.

Don't care exactly what you call it,
As long as you are a Pro Shop
& Carry "Disc Player" in your store...
Hole 19, if served alcohol
Sometimes a 'good name' comes out of the Location.

What significant or landmarks are nearby?
Area 51 belongs out west obviously.
Hmmmm what a brilliant way to get a name.
What's in it for the person that names it?
How about Flying Ponds Disc Golf Shop?
hey now," Chain Out"
" The Disc Pack"
" Store 24"
The Tee Box and The Basket ,two good names.Does the store have refrigeration cases for cool beverages or are you selling out of ice coolers. That will run into some expense to buy ice daily/hourly during summer.
One for the alcoholics
The Throw Up Disc Golf Shop

How About
Baggers Disc Golf Shop

OR
Flying Plastic @ Lakeshore Disc Golf Shop
What do you folks think of The Dgrustore. We could play on the name by having a "Par-macy" counter where we sell bug spray, etc. And talk about making your drive healthier with a new disc, etc.?
Doesn't disc golf all ready have a 'drug' problem without playing on it?
Won't help the image, per say...

How about
Organic Plastic
Selling Organic Snacks (Cliff Bars, and so on with Plastic...

Do like
A Chain Store
Referring to well uh... the chains

Will you have WIFI in the store? To get onto DGR.us?
A snack bar?
I like the idea. Parmacy- that's hilarious!
I get paid to do this....

Check out www.discplayersports.com

You will understand.
I really don't think anyone can touch ..."The Throw Shop" I'd snatch that one quick before the other retailer on here does. ...it'd become "The Shut Up & Throw Shop" lmao!!!!
"The Pole Hole?
The Drop IN?
Holy Crap! They Keep Making More (Golf Discs)!
Okay, Okay

BEEN HOLDING ON TO THIS ONE!

ready......

TA DA (Crowd cheering in the background)
Cha Ching!

The sound of not only the basket, but the cash register as well!

Thank you, thank you so much!!!!!
Now for the completely ridiculous:
It's in the Hole!

Or
It's in the Whole!
We have ALL the discs and accessories you need & want!
Do you have a vehicle?
The Disc Golf Cart!
