1) Love nature the outdoors and having fun
2) I love watching a disc in flight
3) I love the competition
4) I love to challenge and push myself to achieve more.
5) I love teaching others that are willing to learn. The more I throw and see the more I learn the more I can teach it.
The sense of MAGICIANSHIP that comes with making great shots. Especially shots that go in the chains. Plus its really satisfying to develope a shot. (Example, I used to think Sidearm throws were impossible)
I think that there is nothing like the thrill of making that unexpected shot. Your drive wasn't so good and ended up behind a tree but you step up and drill it. I also love to challenge myself to do better each week and to simply do my best. It's also fun to see the big arms bomb it out there. Last week I saw a guy bomb one about 450 to 500, skip up and hit the pole. A couple of years ago I saw the same guy ace a left handed hyzer bomb over the trees at about 450.
it's soo amazing to just throw the disc, the feeling of it coming out your hand and into the air, the snap of it, the mechanics and plus it's the most relaxing sport that can be played in my book. often after rounds i find myself sitting on the picnic table just feeling the auora of the course as i'm sitting right next to hole one, i could just sit there for hours without a care in the world. the attitude around the course is always fun, even if it is spotted with pot smokers, i don't mind em, because if that's what it takes for them to have fun, then i don't have a problem with it.
Playing with new people.
Being able to hang with some of the people that helped me get started.
Checking out new courses.
Nothing beat playing Fort Custer in a light snow with no wind. The holes in the back are majestic, quite and serene.
Hunting for the first ace.
Yeah, nothing beats playing that new course that you think is amazing. My first experience with mountain courses was when a friend and I stopped at Sipapu, New Mexico with a couple of other guys and played that course. Watching those discs just sail down the mountainside was incredible.
