exactly. no one can force people to sign up or just magically appear. a TD could nudge someone in a certain direction in some cases. but it's not always the case, nor easy. I wouldn't know, but I'm pretty sure TD's have their hands full .
A tourney I was at earlier this summer wouldn't let that happen. I spoke to the TD and he said that you had to have at least three people for there to be a division, otherwise everything gets clumped into the next lowest division. I thought I remember him saying those were PDGA rules for sanctioned tourneys.
we have so few women discing here that the one or two that come to tourneys end up playing against men in the intermediate division.so i agree move to the division that is gonna give you competition ,hell melody king finished 3rd in our state championships in the adv division.we will work harder next yr to get more women interested in playing in our tournaments.we are discussing starting a womens league to get more interest.
I was thinking at a recent event they had all the women playing together on a single card of 5. Yet they were each in other divisions. 2 in girls under 18.
I urged my sister to move up this weekend so she could at least have a competitive tournament, but she said the t.d. thought it would look better if there where more divisions. so she was the only one in am. women, and there was one adv. women. Whats the point ?
