I would make the basket part a little wider than the chains so they fall from the top and more chain hitters would go in.

I have played on a few courses where the space between the basket and the top of the chains is very short and some where they are long. Does anyone know what regulation the baskets need to be from the top of the chains to the top of the basket? If there is no regulated size, I would say to improve the basket means to improve the chain length.
Permalink Reply by Ratbag on June 25, 2012 at 1:18am I wish there was an agreed upon standard for how high the basket should sit above the ground. The majority of my missed putts are high. Some courses I've played at have baskets that sit like 2 feet off the ground. I know we aren't all 6 foot and taller, but adding some height to this sport would vastly improve my putting.
