Whats more important in a make or brake situation, ability or confidence?

We all know that both of these components are important to our game but which is more important, and why?

Ability gets you into that "make or break" situation. Confidence helps you succeed in that situation.

Putting- confidence. Driving i think its about equal between ability and confidence, there wouldnt be much advantage being confident if you can only drive 50 feet!

Knowing your abilities will allow you to be confident in a make or break (or any) situation
