My favorite hole to throw would have to be hole 16 at Kincaid DGC pro tee .it's roughly 444 ft in the new extended island position ,you overlook a 150 ft shallow hollow with several guardian trees protecting the green that you can either ani around or tomahawk over .your tee shot is important for setting yourself up for your approach shot to the green that is cut out of tall grass and is not visable from the tee pad or even from your first shots landing spot if you dont land on the far edge, for the hole has several down then up then down to the basket island elevation changes so most shots are blind .there are even more guardian tree's with tons of dream catchers to knock down your approach shot and there are several windows each requiring you to pick your route carefully .i have had many shots i thought were heading for the green get knocked down by dream catchers guarding the basket.when you throw in the awesome view of cook inlet with sleeping lady and denali in the background it becomes a great hole and one of my favorites.

Okay, I guess hole 17 at Grignon Park in Kaukauna, WI is a legitimate par 4 and I DO enjoy that hole a good deal. On our home course in Fond du Lac, WI, hole 17 is a signature. It is a 425 ft par 3 that has a raised fairway that snakes right then left. There is a pond on the right and a river on the left, leaving you a fair 150 -100 ft wide fairway (it tightens near the pin). I really should always lay up on this hole with a 300 ft shot, but it's SOO tempting to go for it. I've paid a few times for that choice. Because the tee box is raised above the landing area you want on the left (but NOT higher than the pin) a lot of people end up throwing their normal straight drive and have it hyzer out too far into the river. It's a bit deceptive that way. Yesterday I took an 8 on that hole...first shot slipped out of my hand into the river. Retee...tried a roller, stuck in a bush...miraculous save...into the pond...jump putt long...missed comebacker...tap in=8. Worst judgement ever.
