For me it is the Champion Firebird I love how I can count on it to never turn over and how once you beat it in to the perfect state you can make it fade almost any distance down the line you want. They skip great too and are very easy to judge distances with and is so consistent no mater what the wind conditions. Its really the only one I've tried besides the dx banshee and I didn't like that one too much. What are some of the ones you like and what are the differences between them?

Some ones that I'm interested in are:

1)Predator
2)Monster
3)Flick
4)Max
5)Raging Inferno
6)Spirit

i like a boss, xcaliber, max, but a firebird is classic and consistent.
Predator
Avenger, Pulse, and Firebird. I don't get a ton of D with my firebird, but it's so reliable and easy to throw. Seems like the Pulse and Avenger need more juice to fly far, though they do fly further than my firebird.
viper, extreme, firebird.
Teerex, Firebird, and a 150 class Flick. I've tried the Pred. and it has turned over on me into a strong headwind. The Monster and the Max didn't work for me. They just reminded me of the feel and heaviness of the Banshee. The Xcaliber was OK, but to much speed (Innova flight chart) for me. I couldn't get it to work right, but the bigger arms I play with love it.
Champ Firebird, Star Max
esp predator
Given Judozuna's list, my comments may not help much. For several years I threw Dx Banshees as my primary drivers, changing to CE Firebirds when they came out and then stayed with them for years. For the last few years I have been throwing Z Crushes and Z Flashes (the overstable Z Flash runs, which are superb).

Being a forehand thrower, I need a pretty overstable disc as a primary driver. Between the Banshees, Firebirds, Crushes and Flashes, they all do a fine job of fighting moderate wind with not much difference between them in my hands. But when the winds really get howling, none of them compare to a Z Talon.

On days with mild/moderate wind I don't even carry a Talon in the bag. It is so overstable that it doesn't glide very far. But in screaming wind the Talon is the shizzle.

Throwing a forehand drive into a headwind is difficult. There is a point, I'm guessing at about 30 mph, where the Talon comes out. Then there is a point, again guessing, maybe at 40 mph where I switch to backhand because even a Talon won't handle it.

I have not yet developed a comfort level with the oversized rim drivers ( Force, Boss, etc). My impression is they do a pretty good job as well. I don't throw any of them enough to compare them competently. Discraft's newest prototype, as yet unnamed and unreleased also fits that bill. I threw it in strong winds without a problem.
Hmm, I didn't think the talon was as overstable as some of the ones on my list (the marshall street chart must have mislead me). Maybe I should have put it on my list.
If you like a Champ Firebird definitely go with an Elite Z Predator.
first run excal or Z force.
I'm not really asking for something to replace my firebirds because I am very happy with them. I'm trying to get a feel for what everyone else uses and what they like about their disc of choice. I want to know all the good things about the one you use. Comparisons between your favorite wind fighting driver and the firebird would be helpful in my understanding of how they fly.
