The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

All good golfers (disc and ball) have a consistent pre-shot routine. What's yours? Different for drives, upshots, putts? I usually always extend the disc out on the line I want before any throw and go.

I grab the disc then huk it.
Exactly, clear your thoughts and huk it !
I usually do the same...Hold the disc out and imagine the line I want to hit, practice the throw twice and remind myself to slow it down and play like a pro.
take a sip of beer set down the cigar and fire away.
I walk up to the front of the tee and slowly practice my release. Go back and do it again. Then...let it rip.
stare down the flight line, two breaths and on the exhale start the approach, very much like the approach in bowling.
The tougher the shot the more I focus on the window.
I start with a deep breath and a couple of seconds to focus. Then I do two quick, exaggerated practice throws more or less on the line I want to throw and then immediately throw or run up and throw. My goal is to stretch out my arm a little and to remind myself to follow though.
Before I take my shot I find three possible lines and decide which one is the best depending on conditions. (Straight, Anhyzer, or hyzer)
Then I take my disc and imagine it going in the line I choose to take.
Focus, on the line take my warm up steps.
Step back, take a deep breath, then let it rip.

Putting I focus on the post on in the middle of the basket. Take a breathe, practice the putting motion, then when it feels right take the putt.
Im only realy good with putting, I guess to make up for my bad upshots. Anyway I tend to fucus 3/4 the way up the pole for short puts say less then 25'. anything over i focus on a object inline but behind the basket like a tree or branch, whatever is there, then shake the nerves off refocus and put. Also remimber to shoot a little long cause if you miss short it never had a chance. As long as there is no O.B. or vally beyond the basket. Good luck
