Permalink Reply by Rescue on December 22, 2010 at 12:38am The Rouge is a sweet disc for sure, but I dig the VIsion by Lat 64 for my Anhyzer disc. The thing is, I don't throw that hard or far. So the Rouge would still hyzer out for me. This is a good example of diff strokes for diff folks. Heck, both of these two discs might just suck for you and you fall in love with the Monarch or Sidewinder.
As for your bag. I like having some fairway drivers in mine. They are: 150 class Flick(if you can find one), FL, Eagle, Teebird, TL, and a MUST have...the Leopard. But that's me

Permalink Reply by Rescue on December 22, 2010 at 11:37am Truth is. Fairway drivers were the so called distance drivers of the past. As drivers got faster, they couldn't call them distance drivers any more, so they ended up calling them fairway drivers. They look and feel like todays drivers, minus the huge rims. The River would be considered a fairway driver by todays standards. The great thing about them is the control and fairly straght flight most of them offer and yes, they go further than the majority of the midrange discs out there.
Try a Teebird, Eagle or Leopard. IMO they are the gold standard of the fairway group. Oh, and the Striker is up there as well.
