disc golf or ball golf
imo ball golf is much harder because there are so many more factors affecting your game like landing in heavy grass, wind, the way you swing the club. thats just what i think i play both and get equal enjoyment. what do you think

The game that i have transitioned from to disc golf is Tennis ......... most of the shots are the same ....... forehand, backhand, tommyhawk ..... putting is the only thing a little bit different here ..... all hand to eye and aggressiveness.
neither is really harder it just depends on personal ability and which your better suited to play. Its sort of like asking if soccer or football is harder.
good point
I noticed something when people at work talked about ball golf. Most of them could only afford to go once every two weeks or a month. DG is free and many of us play two or three times a week. Some of us are lucky/crazy enough to go just about every day (all day if possible:). By having immediate and free access to most courses, disc golfers can learn a lot faster. This would make the sport appear easier because the progression is so rapid.
The whole par 3 in DG thing is really more about scorekeeping than a fair representation of how difficult the course is imo. I personally am not in love with this system. I can par +- on some courses, and then shoot a +6 at another one. This makes it difficult to compare one to the other. The real question is what does it take to excel? Just about every DG pro has invested as much work, sweat, and time into their sport as a ball golfer. And they do it for pennies on the dollar compared to the pros. Correct that: fractions of pennies on the dollar :). Competition with the course and with each other is what defines "difficult."

I will say that putting in ball golf seems to be the creation of an insane sadist with a twisted sense of humor
Yeah, it's encouraging to see people much better than you make the same mistakes as you.

It's all relative
