sO 30 OR 40 IS A HIGH NUMBER? We have over 200 bag tags. how would you like the 201 tag?
I'll be honest... I like the bag tags because it gives me a goal to shoot for... however, I've seen some areas that give too many out and to just about anyone that wants them... so I can see how there is sometimes a big jump in numbers even if you only beat 1 person. I don't think it matters so much once you're in the low numbers because you know it's someone who plays the course often and that the tag is still around. could just be random rabble rabble rabble....
I used to enjoy playing for Bag Tags but now it has got into a habbit that we are playing for them every single round and it is getting a bit to much it is getting to the point where i cant be bothered haveing it on my bag because there is the chance i will have to take it of in 45 min.
Here at our course we sell 1-50 but I think usually about 30 or so get sold. Many players don't play enough, or don't think they are good enough to buy one. We know that the point of them is to raise funds for course or tournament improvements but it is hard to convey that to rec players that can care less about picking up their trash and dont play in tournaments. I think in larger city areas where there are many players they are great for raising funds, but half the players probably disappear and you don't see those tags again anyway. I know here we only really see tags 1-12 getting played for, and some of the people win a lower tag and then don't come out to play for league or in the afternoons because they want to keep it. That just hurts league turn out. So long and short of it is they serve the purpose of fundraising and maybe a fun challenge sometimes, but I don't think it means you are one of the best players by just holding a low number.

They matter just what you make out of them. If they inspire you to play better or more often then they're doing their job. As long as you don't duck challenges
yea actually it does work. where im from our local club is tiny. we got very few members some where between 10 or 20 and we do the bag tag thing. works good for us should work good for you too.
