The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Hey all,

I'm from Cincinnati, Ohio and have been disc golfing with my buddies for about two years now. We play at one course regularly, Mt. Airy Forest, and are looking for some new land to explore over the upcoming summer.

If you have any suggestions on courses in Ohio or around the area feel free to share them. Nifty information that makes the course special is always welcome.

Thanks much

Man, you are in a great spot to play DG.  You have two other awesome courses right next door in Lincoln Ridge and Idlewild.  An hours drive gets you to the Dayton courses: Belmont, Arthur O. Fischer, Sycamore Trails, Fairborn, etc.  North East to Pike Lake, Great Seal State Park and Paint Creek (try to get hold of Side Arm Don, he's a cool guy and he set up the course).  Two sites to hit up:  pdga.com/course_directory or dgcoursereview.com and look through your area on the map.  If you make it up to Columbus and need someone to throw with feel free to drop me a line.

I have heard great things about Idlewild online. I will make sure to get on those websites for sure, too.I actually live in Newark, Ohio (going to college there) right now and will be transferring to OSU next year.

That link shows all 30 courses in the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Ky area.

And since you play Mt Airy often, Fred Salaz runs the pro shop there and would be glad to help you. He's also the course designer for Idlewild.

Thanks for the link. I had no idea there were that many courses around.

Great Blue Heron (Norwalk), Thompson (East Liverpool), Deis Hill (Dover), Lakeshore (Ashtabula)

Just across the border Idlewild is world class and the park formerly known as Banklick is really good.  Now it is called Lincoln Hills or Lincoln Something.

If you go to pdga.com there is a really good course directory.  You just put in your zip code and it pulls up all the courses in order of distance.
