Z Drone

Let me start off by saying that I am one of the biggest fans of the Drone. I was jazzed when I heard they were finally coming out in Z plastic. So it pains me to say this. If you haven't bought one yet. Don't waist your money! Stick with the "D" plastic. I bought four. Threw two of them. Tried multiple hyzer angles. Some OK results witha steep hyzer angle, but it would still turn over and I'm talking a mild head wind of 10 to 15mph. I had better results with my Champ Roc. Very dissapointed.

I know they aren't as overstable as the FLX Drone, I never cared for the D Drone. Mine fit well between my Wasp and Zone. I think they are definately more overstable than any Roc I have tried.

I agree, they are more stable than my Roc, but not by much. I guess I was hoping it would be more like my Champ Whippet, but longer.

Heck I bought them from you guys! I'm still going to use them, but my Champ Whippet will be my first pick.

Mine are so overstable not quite sure I have a use for it. And it will last longer than 1 tree hit.

Have you had a chance to throw them into a semi strong head wind of 10 to 15mph ? That's when I notice some problems.

Strong headwind?? That's a constant on our course! 25-30 is a headwind. :-) Sorry for the irrelevant post. I've never tried a drone, but I'm guessing the flx would be my cup of tea.

"SEMI" strong. Ya I play in a wind tunnel too... Of subject, but try a Champ Whippet if you can find one. Most overstable disc I've thrown.

I just bust out the champ firebird in the instances where you'd use your whippet I'd bet. For long bombs into our semi-strong permanent wind I break out a star or champ excaliber. Where do you play rescue?

Try a Gateway Demon. They are disgustingly overstable. I have never seen one flip even in 25-30mph headwinds with a big arm thrower huking it.
