A New Club 3 Replies

I see this DGRUS club page as a fun and useful way to organize events at our Volusia County courses..I don't know of the viability of a new club...in the sense of an actual 'not for profit' enity similiar to the other major clubs in our…Continue

Keep spreading the word to new players on all the courses in the county.
Tell them to get on this site, then we can start making it bigger and better.

Hey folks, I drove by Hollyland Park on my way home from Tusc Park today, to check on the status of the new 9 hole course, with regret, they have still not put the tops on the baskets. I will keep an eye on it and let you know as soon as I see the tops on, you will know!

X-Town now travels to 1 location a month.
Next week (Sunday) will be @ Tuscawilla Park.

Yeah..but if we have a quote from discraft ...maybe that will spark a competive quote from Innova...I would think we all want the same targets on all the holes.

I do like chainstars better...but uniformity is important..imo

DeBary was established by Hosfeld.
I like the baskets at Reed Canal. Chainstars.

If you would like a competitive quote from Discraft for disc catchers please let me know? You may be surprised.

Even though it looks like progress is progressing at DeBary...concrete parking area, some benches popping up in a few places....We may have to get the ball rolling in the Basket dept after all. Start raising money for a "DeBary Basket Fund"

A couple of us Reed Canal players have started something that's raised a little cash towards concrete tee pads. We are getting close to our target amount. The way we did it...in a relatively short period is...a couple of us made donations....followed by various CTP contests....Get a box full of stuff......a buck a throw.... do it between rounds or after....pay out multiple places. We can do this at DeBary starting on Mondays.....do it before...while waiting to get started...and/or after.

Once we get to an amount we can work with for the cost of concrete at Reed...(and we still need the official yes from South Daytona on that project) ....we can divert to another cause...i.e. DeBary baskets.

And if we get the word out...across the state...talk to Fab FL Tour Folk....other movers and shakers..this can happen more sooner then later.

Norbert or Greg could get us a solid price from Harold on those other baskets...(hint, hint, wink, wink) so we know what our goal is...we need a number. We need someone trustworthy to manage the money..hold the money until where there

I'll take a stab at between 3000 to 3400 is what we need to raise.
