I have to say I love the Star, however, my Pro flies much farther. It is 167 grams vs. 169, so not much of a difference. I throw all backhands with the Pro up to about 425-ish 450'. The star is a good sidearm chuck to about 400 at best and gets better for backhand as it ages, we'll see what happens.
I love my 172g Star Destroyer. RHBH best measured throw with it so far is 340ft. I'm still tweaking my form a bit so I know I can get plenty more out of it.
169g Orange Star Destroyer ( if color matters ) I too agree that they get better with age with backhand. I can get mine to go about 400 or more. Haven't really "accurately measured" but the skip distance is insane.
I prefer the 175 weight. For some reason I like mine heavier. I also throw 97% forehand or flick. I have never measured disctance but maybe 350 I guess.
173
175g, takes offf torque throws better, my main sidearm disc!!!!!!!! 400ft +, I throw a drive that was easily 450-500ft with this bad boy sidearm.
Its got to be a 169g. For me, they are just ready to go on the first flight. On a blue bird day I can get it over 400' with a fair amount of accuracy. Not my go to disc on a windy day though.
175, love the way it pops out of my hand, sidearm, 350-400'
Between 170 and 172 depending on the line I'm looking at as the 172 has a little more turn in it.
