I'll start...I've been playing since 1979 (a once a month-er) until 2007 which I have played about 250 rounds since. I have never thrown an ace. Why? Where have I gone wrong in my life to deserve…Continue

Hit the basket on a temp course set up for the family at the ranch. Splash out again. It was about a 270 ft hole with a left to right curve and the basket up on the left side of a service road. At least there were witnesses to celebrate the almost!

I got my first ace yesterday, 06/09/08 7:11pm at the Redwood Curtain here in Arcata on hole 4. For those not in the know hole 4 curves to the right, around a big burned out stump. I threw my 148 Archangel straight and hard with a tiny bit of Anhyzer it curved perfictly around and slamed into the tonepole with a mighty clang. I ran around the corner and some guys that were putting on 9 said they saw it slam. This was 3 years in the making, after so many close calls and near misses it was an amazing feeling to hear it hit that pole, probably the most beutifull sound I have ever heard or ever will (till the next one).

The question I have now is should I still stay in the ace-less support group now that I'm not ace-less any more, or should I stay as proof that it can be done with enough practice?

Last Saturday afternoon, Tocobaga at Maximo Park in St. Pete, FL, hole #17: For anyone who is not familiar with this hole, it's not a long one at all - there are just a sh**load of trees in between, and therefore you have to very accurate or you're eating bark. I lined up on the basket with a 150g Champ Sidewinder and tossed a laser-straight one that went right out and then bounced off the top of the basket and off on the other side (which I was able to birdie).

And today at North Water Tower Park in Sarasota I threw a new 172g DX Banshee that parked right under the basket on hole #7. One day, ONE DAY...!

The guy I usually throw with hit an Ace yesterday-- it was his 6th and he let me Sharpie his disc, hoping it would bring some mojo my way. I won the round but he still got 5 bucks from me for the Ace :(

I parked a Champ Leopard right under the basket on hole #7 at North Water Tower Park (Sarasota) on my first drive the other day, so I have the feeling that an ace can happen on this one... maybe soon? Do I have to unjoin this group if I do make it??? ;-)

No aces as far as I can tell. Let's hang in there together and I know one of us will do it soon!
