– 50 Points too much, not enough or other thoughts?
This is currently only for the Winter Point Series to try and add a little twist and fun. Should it be carried over to the summer? Should it be modified?

i would offer that if pts are awarded for an ace, the player must be paid into the ace pool and the pts awarded should be a percentage of the cash received.

how about twenty five percent?

IMO......50 total pts for a league ace is too much...perhaps 15 or 20....

I think 50 is a lot. Someone could just get an ace or two, and not play league or win often, and still win overall points. Definitely must be paid in ace pool to get points.
So far we are 1 month in to the points series and the leader is at 130, 8th place is at 58 points.

If we project this out to the end of the season, the leader will be at 500ish points and 8th place will be at 240ish points. To win the overall points with just aces you would need 10 aces. If you got 10 league aces you deserve the title in my opinion!
Luke - No the Winter Ace is a set point value, independent of temp but currently only a Winter PS League rule. The Double Points for when temperatures are below 15 degree is for the point awarded based on your score in relation to others you played against. This rule is to reward those who play is all types of weather.

Although an Ace in those conditions is something to celebrate and so it's something to discuss for the future - Are you for it or against it? What do you think the value should be set at?
