10DOWN Disc Golf wants to celebrate the spirit, approach and feeling
of those unforgettable rounds when the drives were pure and the putts always center chain.
We are equally appreciative of those that play for the pursuit of that feeling in their own game
not limiting it to simply the number 44.

10Down Disc Golf is offering up an exclusive 10Down Crown extra sweet t-shirt that will not be available for sale, but free to anyone that shoots 44 or lower at any 2009 NEFA or MPT sanctioned singles tourney or shoots 10 under the announced course par for all 2x NEFA events

In the final NEFA event of the season
GREG WINTROP threw 10Down on the
Borderland white layout to best the field
at the Borderland Fall Finale.
Greggor becomes the second player to
shoot 10Down in both the 08 & 09 seasons.

11 Disc Golfers went 10Down or better in 2009.
We'd like to thank everyone that played
in NEFA & MPT events throughout the season
and especially congratulate the 2009 10Down Crown winners.

they come in bunches...
two more are crowned.

Jeff Kozaka's second round 44
was good enough to win the 14th Bob Burns Memorial
and Paul Babb's 44 bumped him up
into a tie for second.
Paul also becomes the first
to shoot 10Down in a NEFA/MPT sanctioned event
in both 2008 and 2009.

Now that there's ten
where will this end?

As the weather heats up
the scores are going down...
add three more to the
2009 10Down Crown.

Bard Soleng shot a 51
on the par 61 S-B layout at Animalfest. (2xNEFA)
The victory was the first in a string of titles
for Bard this past month. solid play, Bard.

Kyle Enman joins the list
after shootin' a tourney & course record
-10 44 in the first round of play at CR Farms on Saturday.

Jim Bouffard shot a tourney record 43 on the Black Bear
at Woodland Valley on Sunday and in doing so took
home his first MPT Open title.

who's next?

two more joined the 09 10Down Crown Crew
at Borderland State Park this past weekend.
Steve Brinster shot a 43 en route to the Open title
and Jim Wills shot a smokin course record 42
on his way to capturing the Pro Master title.
Now there are five.
Are you next?

Jason Dore shot a first round 43
followed it up with a second round 44
to become the first 10Down Crown winner
this '09 season.
Slick Nick Blouin also shot a 44 first round

My best round on my, now home course, Westmoreland, Eugene, OR, was on a Sunday morning. I birdied 1,2,3,5,6,8,9,10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 18, and four pars on 4, 7, 13, and 16, for a fourteen under in eighteen holes. Wish I could do that all the time.

My local course is pretty beginner friendly. I don't remember my -10 round (I have four now) but my favorite was a -13 under round that I started at 10:30p. Summers in Alaska are great for late night rounds. Something about that night just clicked, every drive went where I wanted it, could have been -16, but missed three putts.
