Whatever you may have heard was very exaggerated. I have never experienced anything but friendly people. Feel free to go on any day at any time and I guarantee you will feel comfortable and have a good time.

I don't buy into what you probably read on DG course review. I've been going here since the early 90's and never had any problems. If you're the least bit concerned though, wait until Sat or even better, Sun. The weekly handicaps are run on Sun and average about 30 players. More than enough people to feel safe.

Is there a good day or time to go to this course? I have heard not to go alone so kinda sketched about that. Is that even true?

APOPKA, Fla. – To celebrate the opening of two new 18-hole disc golf courses at the renowned Rock Springs Ridge Golf Club, a ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. Friday May 20^th  and a disc golf grand opening celebration will be held from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, May 21^st. During the grand opening there will be contests for cash prizes, free food, free disc golf green fees, activities for the kids and a demonstration by 12-time PDGA World Disc Golf Champion Ken Climo. Located in Apopka, Fla., Rock Springs Ridge Golf Club is home to 18 holes of magnificent golf known for its extreme changes in topography and enormous greens that challenge golfers of all abilities.

 

In April, Rock Springs Ridge became home to two 18-hole disc golf courses in addition to its already established 18 hole Championship ball golf course. To celebrate the arrival of disc golf to the Club, the official grand opening celebration on May 21^st will include a variety of activities for both seasoned and novice disc golf players. A “set the course record” competition will be held along with a free hole-in-one contest for a $100 cash prize as well as a free longest drive contest for a $25 cash prize. There will be a K-9 disc golf squad performance as well as a demonstration by Ken Climo, who will be on hand to play the Championship Course. Free hot dogs and refreshments will be available along with free face painting for the kids and tours of the Apopka Fire Rescue equipment and truck.
