Comment by Matt Schenk on May 31, 2011 at 10:43am: Isaac, You have to come to the Sunday morning handicap league and play 3 rounds over the course of 3 Sundays. So after going on 3 different Sundays your average will be established. You don't have to join the club right away but it's $15 to join and you get a t-shirt, bag tag, $1 off disc purchases and $1 off handicap round fees.

Club members pay $5 to play the handicap round.. I think it is $6 for non-club members but check with Bob at the course pro shop.. He runs the league and will give you the most accurate and updated info.

The great thing about handicaps is that we are all playing against ourselves and not so much each other. If you average a 61 on parkside then your final round score would be reduced by 7. Once you play 3 rounds and establish a handicap score then you are just out to beat your average by the most. The person who beats their own average by the most wins the handicap round. This makes it fair for all players of all skill levels to compete.

Comment by Hippy on May 30, 2011 at 8:21pm: Isaac, my son ( who is 7yrs old) has a +22 handicapp!!! He shoots around 75!!! It's handicapped!!!! Come establish and your there!!! It keeps everybody equal!!!! PLus its fun!!!! Look at the size of the ace pool!!!!! Thats enough right there!!!
