My family has a history of substance abuse problems, so i do see the point of this group. I meant no disrespect with my earlier comment and apologize if i offended anyone. Soberity is a constant struggle with many of us. I'm here to lend my support to a worthy cause

I'm the child of an alcoholic so I've seen what it can do. I made my choice based on that and other experiences. I've never seen any good come from drugs or alcohol. So, here I am.

Hi Shel,

I think this is great. For me 20 years with no dope. Had a couple of setbacks with the alcohol, but at this time 4 years sober. Man is it nice. Playing with a clear state of mind is great.

Keep it up. Life is fun and you can handle anything 1 day at a time.

I think the best part of playing disc golf clean is that I remember where that damned disc went, I don't lose all my best discs anymore, and most of all I remember what I did, what I said. This I carry with me throughout my days. It's been real nice having my head screwed on right, instead of always being in the fog is used to live in!

Well, I think it's okay that peeps are joining that are clean and sober. Just need to get the point out there that this is also for those that want to be clean and sober, or just like to play with clean and sober golfers every now and then...or those that are clean and sober only every now and then! But the central theme is to express the experience of golfing a sober person, and with sober people, or just simply the struggle to golf sober. It's about the people, the game, the whole experience and the outcomes. I hope this club could encourage golfers to become sober, and to also be a venting chamber for frustrations concerning living clean. Anyway, I appreciate everyones input, and we make the club what it is, right? Just starting out, lets be easy...."easy does it dudes".

I've been clean and sober my entire life as well. 37 years and counting. And you know what? I'm pretty proud of it. We've all got choices to make in our lives, and this was one of mine.
