I've only had a few drinks in my 38 years, mostly toasts at weddings(never finish the drink.) I'm happy to say I'm clean and sober!

I have been clean and sober my entire life - just over 55 years. I know that drinking and doping are common among DG players but I haven't been bothered much by it. Shel, my first round in Norman I played with a couple of locals and we had a very good time. But they carried two bags each - one for discs and one for a 12 pack. So long as people drink responsibly I don't have a problem with it.

Smoking dope here is mainly done out behind the course or in their cars, but not out on the course. Many of my DG friends drink socially but they are responsible about it. It does bother me to smell marijuana on the course. But each person must give account for his own actions. So I try to let it pass.

That's really cool Nibs! I have had trouble with not wanting to quit the gofing, just because of the surroundings. So, now I see that it's really not that bad. Disc golfers have had a bad wrap, and it's just the same as anywhere else, any other sport, etc. There's always evil and good everywhere! My dg friends are pretty respectful. It's been such a big change though! I was like one in the middle of it all!! It's a whole new playing field! I didn't really expect my game to improve much, but I believe it has. We will see this year, as I plan to play more seriously, choose my events better, and be clean and sober!!!
