Johnny Roberts is just cool because it's one of the original courses in Colorado. There really isn't a lot of good choices for short technical courses near Denver so people play Johnny a lot. If you are into playing feel good rounds this is the course for you. There is nothing that hard or challenging about the course and there is always a hundred people there with fairways playing over each other. It can be a real mess over there at times. My personal rating of the course is 2.5 out of 5.

I've seen a couple of comments on Johnny Roberts on this page and I must say that after playing there twice in the last several weeks, I really don't understand what all the hype is about... I played once to see what it was all about... Played again trying to figure out what's so great about it... But I won't be wasting my time there again...

Does anybody know where the picture for the Colorado Disc Golf site is from? It doesn't look like any of the mountain courses I've played, I am intrigued!

Johnny Roberts is a fun course to play, but so is putt-putt golf. I'm still looking for the clown or windmill shot to appear on the 18th hole :) If you can get out of Denver try playing the Conifer course it's new with a lot of fun shots. MY favorite course in Colorado is gotta be Leadville. Leadville starts at the Colorado Mountain College and plays you around the mountain. Beautiful course with a wide variety of shots.

Everyone always talks about Johnny Roberts but to me it's not that technical for a short course, and it is short. The other thing I disliked about it is the pedestrians, friggin everywhere, you have to wait for them to clear on almost every hole which creates more backups. Fun course to play every once in a while but that's it.

Logic - Check out the local web site for tag matches and hook ups.

I know Greatful Disc is happening up in teh fort this weekend and Practice rounds are open at one of the private courses near Conifer..

Hey everybody! I moved here to Colorado in June 2008, love it here!!! Anyways I'm going to start checking out Denver courses each weekend and wanted recommendations???? I've already played Bird's Nest, I'm thinking of playing Badlands (north) this weekend.

Hey fellas....and ladies. Joe Rovere here. Just trying to keep Disc in mind as the snow has fallen in Telluride and my skiis are out and my bag is not. It's done until March or so. Anyone use this thing?
