Happy New Years folks. I hope you all had a good one!

Donovan thank you for your pro-active attitude. We are very interested in your offer. Stay tuned as the vision for the tee signs evolves. I have carpentry skills that I'm willing to throw into that project at some point, but I already have a garage full of unfinished Grover projects. We will no doubt be discussing the grover tee signs at the next meeting. Please attend.

Andrew Rich is back and wants to help with an "Ice Bowl" What do you guys think about an "Ice Bowl" at "The Grove" I think this course would be a good venue for another tournament, especially with the turnout at the last event. I could help, but tell me what you think.

If someone can come up with a quote for the cost of signs, and commit to creating them, I'll help with the cost.

We are pleased to present The Cottage Grove Chapter of The Eugene Disc Golf Club. Thanks to all of the good folks and disc golf family who made this possible. A special thanks to Tom Chrestman and Rebecca Duffy for your abilities to lead and your abilities to compromise. Our hats are off to both of you.

Thanks to all of the good people who continue to work on the course. Please post in the "Work Completed" thread and take some credit for your hard work. Here's a rundown of some of the work that needs doing at the Grover. You can show up any time that works for you and if the gate is closed there is access for vehicles through the parking lot area. The park rangers will allow your vehicle if you are working on the course.

- There is a pile of bark mulch on fairway 17. This needs to be spread on all greens and walkouts with the exception of 2 green and 9 right green.

-There is tons of trash at the Grover. We now have 8 trash cans on the course and lots of work is needed picking up trash. Larger trash from the course can be dumped in the pit on fairway 18.

-Benches need to be built for most of the holes. Have a bench idea? Roll with it. Coordinate with Scott Wales on hole 4 and Tom Chrestman on Hole 7.

-Tee Signs possibilities are wide open. Any individuals who wants to put their name on all or part of this project should go for it. You Da Man.

Most importantly, we need to come up with goofy names for all of the holes. We can get by for a while without benches and Tee Signs, but if we don't have cool names for the holes, were screwed.

I'm off to So Cal for the holidays. If I don't see you all before I split,
Happy Holidays!

The holes on this side of the course are in precarious positions, but I'm sure any suggestions for new locations would be appreciated. We don't need anyone getting hurt, or anything getting destroyed on, or around this course. Any ideas for improving this course would help, it is still under development. Get a hold of Tom C. Adam, Scooter, or myself and anyone else involved, and I'm sure the improvements would be taken into consideration. Thanks for all of your input, and be careful out there guys, we don't want to ruin a good thing!!

Hey, who has keys to the baskets at the Grove. I got a call from a guy to repair the basket on 10 last Friday and wanted to swap out the spare we have for that one while I fix it. Shouldn't take more than a few hours what with travel time, but we should have a couple left since 17 isn't in the ground yet and we haven't placed the practice basket yet. Can anyone help me out?

Who will be the first to get hit by a car, running across the highway? Who will be the first to cause an accident on the highway? There's already been too many stories of discs in the road, hitting cars, etc. Might be time to re-think that placement.

Who will be the first to griplock into a car windshield on this hole?
