I heard Tom was going to try to have baskets in by today, but I haven't heard for sure! I saw Hole 2 this morning and it looks good, should be fun to play. The city is working on a parking lot and clearing on holes 2, 17, and 18. We still have two more sleeves to install on 10 and 11, but I'm ready to play!! Call Tom for info.

so i finished the elevated basket on hole 2 yesterday. it looks nice.
any word on when we're going to stick these bad boys in their sleeves and start beating this course in?

I can throw in a little dough towards some locks if it hasn't already been done. If it has then Muchas Gracias to John Stone and the Westy Club. Thanks for the 5 brooms Gene. That was my kind of challenge. Way to tough it out on Friday with a pulled hamstring. Nice job plumbing out the sleeves. Thanks also to Casey and Lane Mason for making sure we have nice level baskets. I checked out teepad 7 today and that is some awesome inlay work Tom. Nicely Done!!!!

Go to the discussion under "Course Responsibility..." and state what you want to do, and I'm sure no one would have a problem with you taking over a hole, especially if there are "cabana girls' involved. Talk to Tom about which one would be a good hole for you. Thanks for wanting to get involved.

ok.. update.. John Stone is picking up all the permanent locks, so if all goes well, we will have baskets in Sunday afternoon.

we forgot to pour one sleeve I noticed... 11 long. the sleeve is sitting next to the hole. I will probably go out there on sunday and mix up some sacrete and get it in. I want to be able to play that one for the 14th.

we are hoping to get baskets in by Monday. The only thing that is holding us back is locks for the baskets. I imagine it is probably a 200 dollar expenditure or so.. We were going to ask the Westy club if they wanted to make a donation and purchase locks. But, in the mean time, I think Scooter is getting temp locks till they can all be keyed the same.

That was a great work party on Friday. What a bunch of troopers. Those hill tee pads really kicked some butts but they got them done. Tom, when will the baskets be in the ground for practice before the 14th ? Adam I am donating 5 $1 brooms instead of playing for them. I was on my pulled hamstring too much Friday and today. I will not be playing on the 14th but will bring a couple temp garbage cans for the day. Great job guys.

Well done everyone. It's all happening!!!! Today I picked up a galvanized steel trash can for hole one. I also picked up a dollar store broom(Thanks for the idea Facklers & Huntoons). I have five discs to donate to a course fundraiser. Trevin was generous enough to grab two of them. That went towards the trash can and lock for hole one. I won a buck playing skins the other day which went towards the broom at the dollar store for hole one. That gave me an idea. I am issuing a challenge for a trash can/broom fundraiser. I will play any course, preferably The Grove. One round of 18 holes, loser buys 5(negotiable) dollar store brooms for the Cottage Grove Course. Strokes can be negotiated before the round if appropriate. This can also be used toward any course improvements. My schedule is fairly open 8-5 during the week with some advanced notice. I am also available 1 day during the weekend (343-2957) I am issuing a challenge to:
Forest, Tom, Tab Weis, Scott, Dan, John Stone, Wilbur, Casey, Jesse, Gene Fackler, Randy and Ralph Huntoon, Jason Turner, Richard Burch and everbody else.
Bring It!!!!!!!!

The three fundraiser discs that I have remaining are:
A beautiful neon yellow 5-time Aviar-X, brand new 175G No ink This disc is a guaranteed ace on hole 9. Suggested donation 10 brooms.

Neon Yellow 175g Champion Rhyno, no ink, Like new condition, probably thrown a few times. Suggested donation 10 brooms

175g 11-time KC Pro Whippet. Like new condition, no ink, probably thrown once or twice and sitting around for a while. This is the only disc overstable enough to guarantee you a sidearm ace on the infamous hole three at The Grove. Suggested donation 10 dollar store brooms.

Also a big high five for Forest Cole and his 1982 Toyota. Concrete pouring machines!!!!!!!!!!!
