My son Tyler helped me spread some bark around hole #9 yesterday. We'll spread some on the muddy trail from 13 to the 14 pad soon. Thanks for the help Tyler!

Good to see a local representing Jon. Your attitude is the stuff that builds disc golf courses bro!

Innovative business idea of the year goes to:

Ask About our Mothers Day Specials!!!

Who is now providing score cards at The Grove with her companies ad on it. Keep the score cards coming Denise and we will send some business your way.

Props to Casey who kicked me down a tasty beverage when he saw me shoveling mulch. I think that should be a new course tradition. See somebody workin on the course, kick em down a tasty beverage.

There is actually a sculpture of a disc golfer on top of the Ace Pole. Somebody got serious metal workin skills!!!!!

I pulled a Tom Chrestman over the last few days and kicked some ass at the Grove:
6 rounds of disc golf. Boom!
3 truckloads of gravel. Boom!
2 truckloads of bark mulch. Boom!
truckload of old concrete rubble into the pit. Boom!
2 new sleeves poured. Boom!

I agree with you Bruce, the mowing patterns are choice.

Ryan and I fine tuned all of the "First Run" hole maps yesterday except for 15, 17 and 18. Our "intention" is to make them "bullet-proof" in terms of OB, Mandos and Drop Zones. Tom, obviously we want your input as you are more familiar with the course than anyone. We would also appreciate input from anyone out there who can imagine a situation in which the OB, Mando or Drop Zone on the hole maps is unclear.

The Oregon Mayoral Conference 2010 is planning a 9 hole Mayoral round of disc golf at the Cottage Grove course this summer. They are looking for volunteers to represent the sport of disc golf to Oregon Mayors. If you are interested please let us know.

Opportunities to put your name on The Grove abound.

Thanks for the positive energy Buck. Anybody out there who's ever played Dexter has Buck to thank.

Ryan Cole and I are meeting this week to fine tune the Grove hole maps. He is cranking them out and I think he has about 14 of them mostly complete. Props to Ryan. This guy stepped up big time. Were talking about approximately 70 hours of volunteered time from a professional graphic artist.
