The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Ok, so I am really partial to low-tech. Burn no gas, little noise, no pollution. Like shovels are really important tools. "Slick" in St Paul told me his fav was a pick-mattock. I do a lot of mowing with an old-fashioned grass whip that looks like a golf club handle with a blade instead of a club head. I think I am going to check out a real scythe.
But in fact my favorite is the single sharp blade. - The Gator Machete made by Gerber is my current favorite. It has saw teeth along the back of a quality stainless blade, and a comfortable handle that provides a good grip. It is my pruner and my shredder all at once. It is my trusted sword! When I'm swinging it I am vanquishing the evil foes of great disc golf!

Just got a new buckthorn weapon, a solid shaft Tanaka trimmer with a brush blade that can go through a 3" diameter trunk. Killer! Add that to the just made hay wagon (for piling and moving the vanquished foes) attachd to the tractor (JD 1020) and I can make 'hay' when cutting out these foreign invaders. Not too bad for prickly ash either.

Not so low-tech, but time is at a premium right now.
