Did you know that the Red Wings' Ted Lindsay started the tradition of skating around the ice with Lord Stanley's Cup overhead??

I agree that I had to wonder...will we ever see the "real" Wings this series, glad to see them running full tilt. Hard to believe how much you can forget how good Pav is until you don't see him for a few weeks. WOW!
Good stuff, I love winning at home, but lets get this one done again in Pitts. and rub it in their faces once more.

After game four, it was anyone's guess which wings team showed up, nice to see they brought their A-game for game 5. Pavel being back was a spark, the whole team looked sharper. Hopefully, that same team will show up for Game Six and we can start celebrating.

It is indeed a series now. Hoping for Wings in 5, Detroit was rockin' in 2002 when they won the Cup at home (but I'll take in six or seven).

They looked good today, mix that with how undisciplined the Hawks were and it made for a good day. 11 down 5 to go!

GO wings. 2-0 lead on hated Chicago.

How, I stood the whole game, and I was in comfort of my own home. Happy to see a great finish though. Original 6 series now! Go Wings!

btw...great breakaway goal by the youngin' Helm.

OK, OK! so not a whole lot has been said in here about the Wings playoff run and in particular the current series with the Ducks. We're going to game 7! Some of us feel the series should be over after game 5 since the Refs quick whistle cost us game 3. But the fact is we are where we are and we still have no real reasons to be shaking in our boots. The Wings have played great hockey, sometimes slow off the start but Ozzie has been big in the 1st period for us (sans the goal early in game 4). Let's just say in 4 of the 6 games we've played against Anaheim our offensive prowess has been stopped by simply one man, Jonas Hiller (I give game 1 to Hiller cause it was a tight one that we beat him because of Lidstrom's pure genius in the final minute of the game). I say Game 7 will be a continuation of the offensive dominance we have shown followed by the bounces of JLA always vying for the Wings. Ozzie will show up and how ever the penalties carried over from the post-whistle action after last game work out, the Wings are looking to create some space on the power play and plenty of action in front of Hiller, the space they have owned on home ice, and arguably because Detroit's ice temperatures are kept much lower than Anaheim's. Let's Go Red Wings!

I love playoff hockey. Only the NFL playoffs can rival it!. If only there was a college football playoff.
