Hey guy & gals,

Does anyone know which species of tree's that should be planted to replace dead ash trees? The emerald ash borer is cleaning us out in Lower Michigan. Any advice to counter they're destruction? Is it better to leave some of the infected tree's lower trunk to promote new growth or is it better for the tree to be completely removed?

thanks
Donny V

You ought to call your state's Dept of Natural Resources....

Thanks guys

One of them got knocked down at my house by weds. morning's wave of storms. About 5 feet from a disc basket. Whew! That would've sucked if it got crushed.

Looks like I'll have a ton of infested wood to burn. I guess I should start throwing some bonfire parties. Yeah, that's the ticket! I hope those lil' EAB's like burning alive. I can almost hear them scream in pain. hahaha
