That was the hardest part about quitting for me. It's odd how alcohol & tobacco complement each other.
I gave up on going out for a month or more. I used to go out to play pool and have a drink or two, but I couldn't handle it. I tried it a couple times thinking it wouldn't bother me- I wasn't ever tempted anymore (after about 2 weeks without). But once I walked into the bar and had a drink in front of me, I went to the nearest smoker to try and bum 1. Luckily, my BFF was there to smack my hand.
It won't be all that bad- giving up beer for awhile. It'll save you even more money. Your tolerance will go down quickly so next time you drink, it'll only take a couple beers!
