not a smoker but I support you all because my Mom is currently fighting lung cancer and is still in the hospital a month after having it cut out. QUIT IT NOW for your loved ones if not for yourself. Good luck to you all My support goes out.

I have been an on-again, off-again smoker since I was 14. The thing that truly broke me from tobacco for good was aerobic exercise. But Army Physical Training wasn't enough, on it's own, to make me quit. Back in '99 I started riding a bike in excess of 150 miles per week, in addition to the Army PT(when i was active duty) and that's when I realized how much damage smoking was doing to my ability to breathe, so I quit almost instantly with nearly no withdrawals.

I recommend to anyone who wants to quit, that they are going to have to do some hard aerobic exercise on a regular basis. The regularity is the key. Start small so you don't get discouraged... when you see that it's actually working, you'll find it much easier to convince yourself that quitting smoking can be a reality for you.
The best thing about my smoking cessation plan is that you don't need to buy any anti-smoking products (which cost more than tobacco does) and you get into the shape of your life at the same time.
You may have to buy a bike, but that's it. Just don't get a shitty one, because they are no fun and you won't want to ride it.

anyways, that's my two cents. anyone who wants to quit this way should PM me.

I don't smoke anymore. I'm 16 and i have been smoke free for a year now. I smoked about, 3 and half years. It took me two packets of 2mg nicotine gum to quit, the reason for eating those in such a young age was my decision to quit for good. Three weeks eating gum and that was it. I have smoked couple times when I was drunk but that was only twice or thrice and it hasn't changed my way of smoke free life. I highly recommend to quit because your physical condition gets better, those former heavy feeling rounds will be history, and your mental side of the game gets better because you have time to think only the game and not the cigarette. And also you don't smell bad anymore. Hope you guys luck with quitting, just keep on with it and don't give up!! I can try to give some advice if you need some, just ask.
