Jason,

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. Discaroo is a side project from my full-time job and it can take me a day or two to respond to feedback. I will usually respond right away to "emergency" situations but when people haven't received discs I usually wait a bit because they often end up showing up.

There are a couple warning signs here: the guy has 0 feedback. I understand you may have had zero or low feedback as well but I would highly recommend starting off with one of the established traders on the site. Discaroo is very much like eBay in that you need to be very wary of low to zero feedback "sellers." I am sure there are more than a few scam artists on the site but it's actually quite easy to trade safely. You may want to look further down this thread where I have posted some rules for safe trading.

Also, I would disagree with your assessment of Discaroo Dollars. They allow for a more open trading system which in the end means you have more disc options available to you. You can read more about why they work in the FAQ. Of course, they aren't for everyone. We have a lot of guys who are trade only and that is totally fine too. It's an option, not required.

I am going to email Nigro about your situation and try to get him to either send your discs back or buy you the one's he promised to send.

Anyone have a champion or star Starfire in near-new condition they'd like to trade for discaroo dollars or a disc. If so, send me a message through here, email, or discaroo...socsavvy(@gmail.com).

Happy Hucking!

alright, time to rant a little bit. It is so frustrating to see all these traders new to the site and veterans, who list discs as excellent that have ink on them. if i see a disc is excellent and buy it, i expect it to not have ink on it. If there are any discaroo users on here, if you do that (#1 you have probably gotten an email from me) please do discaroo and all your future traders a favor and list it as good. if you think its better than good, say that in the description. Say "disc could be in excellent or new condition if it werent for the ink", just dont mislead people.
